Story: I walk through the arbour in the early morning, and already the air is warm and the sun is slipping through the canopy and dappling the ground. The only scent is of roses, sultry and beautiful. Here, I am walking to work one minute and the next I forget my purpose, my mind filled with thoughts of long days and endless sun, of lying on the grass and looking at the sky. The roses have worked their magic, and in these moments there is no destination, just a beautiful journey. In a short while, I'll leave the park for grey pavements and the grit and grime of the city, my feet on autopilot, taking me where I need to be. But until then, I'm happy to be lost in summer.
