Story: The lake is quiet now, the waters still, lit only by the white light of a crescent moon. Everything exists in silhouette, and at first you notice only the tree, branches bare, arching over the edge of the lake. You can't quite decipher the form it shelters, wondering what it is that you see. Just then, a flutter of movement, and you discern wings, and a flash of red beak, and you know you have caught a glimpse of the one black swan that lives here, beauty unexpected.
