Story: Soon the nights will draw in and steal the view, so I press my face to the glass and take it all in. I can make this journey a thousand times, yet I never tire of the sight of this patchwork of fields and the sturdy trees that mark their boundaries, of the telephone poles that dot the landscape, of that vast sky. On this October evening, the trees announce that it is well and truly autumn, showmen of the season, with their leaves of russet red and fiery orange and shining gold. And now, just as the bright colours of sunset begin to streak across the sky, the birds swoop down to take their places on the wires, and the picture is complete. And a place that I've only ever seen through a window once again makes its mark on my heart.
