Nowhere to Be but Here

Original painting of brightly coloured sails on a wide open sea.

Story: I came down to the beach when the sun was rising and the air was still cool, and stayed here to watch the water as the sun rose higher and higher in the sky, cooling off with a dip in the sea when noon brought with it the hottest temperatures of the day. I ran to the boardwalk when I felt hungry, sampling the local fare and, of course, an ice cream, and now I sit and watch coloured sails on the water as the sun begins to fall, no appointments, no errands to run, no desk full of work, nowhere to be but here.
