Story: This is my quiet time, when there is no one walking beneath the blossoms, no one to look up as petals fall like confetti even when there is no breeze, no one to wonder if the sound that they hear is the beating of wings. This is my chance to perch on a branch where there are fewer blooms and a view of the sky, my chance to dream of magic that need not remain secret and of a future not dictated by the past. I cannot take long, for soon light will bring with it reality, and once again I will retreat amongst the flowers to my life invisible, the protection it affords my greatest friend and worst enemy. But for now, I will just sit here, wings beating, knowing in my heart that my moment will come.

Life forces precautions upon us, those steps we take to protect ourselves and those we love. But sometimes they are stifling, smothering the best parts of us, killing our magic in small ways. So be careful, but not too careful, and sustain your magic when the moment permits. You will know when you are ready to reveal it to the world.
