Summon the Rain

On one of the rooftops of a shining city, a small golden figure reaches up to the sky to summon rain. Embellished and texured original painting.

Story: You hate me. Don't bother to deny it. It's okay – I totally get it. You'd planned a fun night out and now you're soaking wet and freezing cold, and it's all on account of the fact that I summoned the rain. Well, get over it! I mean it! I know you won't be thanking me, but you ought to remember all that I do for this world the next time you run through a meadow of flowers or bite into a juicy apple or drink a refreshing glass of water. Because there'd be none of that without me. I may not be a little ray of sunshine, but just look how the rooftops glisten in the starlight! Rain is beautiful, in case you haven't noticed. And magical. Raindrops are simple things, but they are givers of life. There's not much that's more magical than that, is there? Now, I can't take all the credit: I have to share that with the clouds. Is that a look of grudging respect? I think it might be! Perhaps one day you might even be happy to see me! A scowl. Okay, maybe not. Well, popularity isn't everything. I'm gonna carry on doing my thing anyway. No matter what you or anyone else thinks of me, I'm gonna summon the rain!
