Story: I sit here, eyes downcast, thinking of all the things that might have been, my heart heavy with the weight of wishes that haven't come true. And I wonder if I dare believe in different dreams and second chances. I smell roses on the breeze and remember my nan. She once told me that if opportunity knocks and you don't open the door, it might just slip in through an open window. And then I see the source of the scent. A little bird, brave and determined, crosses the sky, a rose in his beak. I rise. I have a window to open.
