Best Dog Ever

In a beautiful garden, a little girl plays with her dog. Original painting in acrylic and watercolour on paper.

Story: I remember that I didn't fall in love with you straight away. I'm sorry for that. I was only little myself, and I was just a bit afraid of you. I shouldn't have been, but you were so full of enthusiasm for life, and you'd almost knock me off my feet when you ran over to me for a cuddle. I think you somehow understood and forgave me, because you refused to give up on me. Soon enough, you found your way into my heart. In no time at all, we became partners in crime. I was no longer the quiet child who didn't want to venture out into the garden. Instead, I was one of a pair of adventurers who explored the world together, getting into scrapes here and there along the way. I'd have been someone else without you, not as happy and not as brave. You were the best dog ever, and I had you by my side every day.
