Story: I come outside and sit here on the swing when life feels difficult and there seem to be no right answers. Just being in the garden helps me to make sense of things. I feel better about the world by the time I go back in. Today everything's going swimmingly. I'm the girl in the beautiful gown, red for confidence, and yet I sit here on the swing anyway. I'm not here for comfort, not now. But the garden makes this happy moment better – more real, maybe – and just being here somehow makes me feel grounded. I don't know how the garden works its magic, if it's the fresh air or the beauty of the flowers or the shade of the trees or something about the swing, but that doesn't matter. I've figured out that whatever's going on with me, it's always time for the garden.
