Story: I remember her, with the bright eyes and the pink cheeks. She knew nothing of this world, but she had a heart full of hope and dreams to spare. There are songs that bring her to mind instantly, taking me back to a certain place and time. There are moments when I catch a glimpse of her, when my mood is right and the light is kind. Once upon a time, my favourite colour was pink, and my best dress had puffy sleeves, and my hair was a tumble of curls. Once upon a time, I was that girl.
