Story: You think of me with long hair parted in the middle and falling loose about my shoulders, wearing jeans and a T-shirt with ballet shoes or trainers, maybe. But tonight I parted my hair at the side and pinned it up, and I wear a dress of black velvet and white feathers, chosen for the red-painted wall of the room where I knew you'd see me tonight. And I watch as you look at me once and then look at me twice, taken aback by the woman who wears the face of your girl next door. And my hands find their way to my hips in feigned indignation and I cast you a sidelong glance. Result!
