Story: I am unfazed by the flash of the camera, used to photographers snapping pictures whilst stylists make minute adjustments to my hair, to the way the strap of the dress falls – should that be on the shoulder or off the shoulder? So when the photographer asks me to pull the brim of my hat over my eyes, I'm not surprised, and I guess what he wants, just the bright red lipstick against the bright red wall. So no happy smile, no direct gaze; actually, no gaze at all. And I put my hands behind my back and pout.
