Story: She had hoped to slip away through the arch, having made the requisite appearance at an event she'd rather not have had to attend. It felt awkward and faintly embarrassing, being around him, when after so much solicitous attention, he now seemed disinterested, and she had not wanted to see him, much less in front of others.

She was about to make her stealthy exit, when she heard his voice. "Gotcha!" he called to her, breathless from running down the corridor. And she turned around, immediately realising that he was not disinterested in her. Not disinterested at all...
