Story: They have always said she looks exotic, which is not what you want to hear as a child, when all you want to be is like everybody else. Now she thinks it's ironic: they all think she's from some distant locale, when in fact she's British, born and bred. But instead of struggling against their description, she goes with it, dressing to go out in colours befitting a bird of paradise, the bright splash of purple, pink and green in a sea of black and white, dramatic and beautiful, and yes, exotic.
