Story: I was using the watering can as a means of transporting a few cut flowers from the garden, nothing more. I had to carry it inside anyway. But once I set it down on the table, the cut-glass vase seemed unnecessary. The flowers looked so perfectly at home in the watering can. A few more stems to trim and the arrangement would be finished. It made sense, this marriage of the beauty and the business of my cherished outside space, my garden treasures brought together.
