Story: The stage fills with dancers and we wait for the curtain to rise. Our costumes are all almost exactly the same. They are beautiful, designed to blend in with the painted backdrop of the stage, tutus in warm pink with touches of shimmering gold and silver. Each one has an accent colour to distinguish the dancer. Mine is red. Or rather, crimson, as the costume designer calls it. So tonight I will be crimson: bright, yet dramatic; red with an edge. I plan to leave a mark on this stage. Look out for crimson!
