Story: The costume isn't what I pictured when ballet was just my little-girl dream. I'd always imagined sparkling tiaras and tutus of stiff pink tulle. But now, as I wear the plain black top and the simple white skirt, I feel like the peasant girl I'm about to portray, young and poised to fall in love. And I realise I've become what I always wanted to be, even if I didn't know it at the time. I am a ballerina, plain and simple.
