Story: I see shadows moving in your front windows, and I think of you, the ones who live in the prettiest house in town. I bet you're a couple, still in love after fifty or so years, reminiscing over supper about all the adventures that you've shared. The inside of the house hasn't changed much since you first made it your home, but the sofa's still comfy, even though the fabric is a little worn. On the mantelpiece there are photos of your children and theirs, a testament to the family you raised here. This house is guardian to your memories, and you look after it with care. You'd never leave, even though you can finally afford to live almost anywhere. Every day you tend the flowers that fill the window boxes, and you smile at the heart shapes you once decided to cut into the shutters. The prettiest house in town was built from love and care. I pass by from time to time, and I think about who might live there.
