Story: You could say that my dog and I are exactly the same, personality-wise at least. We're both resolute, determined and single-minded. And those are admirable traits, I think. But when we go shopping, they do pose a bit of a problem. The trouble is that we can't seem to agree on what to be resolute, determined and single-minded about. Take today, for example. All I want is to check out those cute new clothes in my favourite boutique. My dog, on the other hand, wants to head in the opposite direction. For some reason, try as I might to interest him in fashion, I've never been able to distract him from the butcher's when we venture round here. I suppose that might be because his very favourite things in life are steak and sausages. The worst part of the whole situation is that I know I'm going to be the one who'll have to back down. It'll be sausages for tea today!
