Story: I come here every time I'm in Paris, even though the neighbourhood is out of my way. I first came upon this place when I was visiting friends who lived in the area and stopped to buy them a bunch of flowers. And I noticed that the florist here is an artist, loving petals and stems the way some love paints and canvas and others love words and blank pages. Every flower is scrupulously selected, its placement chosen with the utmost care. She remembers me now, chatting with me as she makes up my bouquets, drawing me out about my favourite scents and colours of the season. And every time I return to my hotel room with the perfect posy, knowing my stay has been made more beautiful by my visit to la fleuriste.
