Story: The hour is early, and under the arches, the air is cool. I cherish the quiet here in the shade, and although I look forward to the bright colours and sunshine of the garden, I'm enjoying my own company and venture forward only slowly. But when I finally step into the open space, I find myself alone. And I smile. Perhaps I made some sort of secret reservation without realising it, or maybe all those who usually congregate here simply had somewhere else to be. I don't need to know the reason as I wind my way along the paths, stopping to smell the roses. For one morning only, this is a garden just for me.
