Story: I remember how the house looked when I first moved in. It was pristine. It was immaculate. It was perfect. And for a while I tried to maintain it like that, I really did. Problem was, life very quickly got in the way. I got too busy or too tired – maybe both – and putting away all my bits and pieces didn't seem to matter as much. So now you'll find my little hall table surrounded by clutter: the umbrella that I want to remember to grab when I leave the house on cloudy mornings; the shoes that I shucked off as soon as I walked in last night; the trusty bag that's home to my phone and my keys and my wallet and all those other essentials. There are flowers on top of the table. Hopefully you'll notice that I do still try. The house is no longer perfect. It became a home in a very short time.
