Story: I practise here in the early morning when there are no images in the mirror but my own, no instructor to pass judgement, just me and the barre and the music. This is the time when I feel as I did when dancing on tiptoe was my en pointe, when the sitting room was my stage, a little girl playing pretend, when ballet was not my career but a childhood dream. And this is the time when I feel as if it all makes sense.
