Story: I press my face against my window and look down towards the valley, unable to tear myself away. Spring comes slowly to the mountains, and it sneaks up quietly, when a blanket of white gives way to bare soil and then brave, small flowers raise their heads, first alone, then in small groups, and then, finally, in swathes of colour. I like it best in the moonlight, when there are no walkers and no tours, when I feel I'm alone with a latecomer whose presence was well worth the wait.
